Return & Replacement

Here are the key points on Desimochi’s return and replacement policy for sellers:

1. Eligibility for Return and Replacement:
  • Defective or damaged products: Products with manufacturing defects or damages during delivery are eligible for return or replacement.
  • Wrong item delivered: If a customer receives the wrong product (wrong size, color, or model), they can request a return or replacement.
  • Size or fit issues: Shoes that do not fit the customer as expected can be returned, provided they are unworn and in their original packaging.
2. Timeframe for Returns:
  • Customers typically have a 7 day window to initiate a return or request a replacement, depending on the specific terms set by Desimochi.
  • Sellers must honor returns within the stipulated time, and any delays in processing may result in penalties or negative ratings.
3. Condition for Accepted Returns:
  • The returned product must be in unused condition with original tags, packaging, and any accessories included.
  • Damaged or heavily worn shoes will not be accepted unless the defect was caused by the manufacturer or delivery process.
4. Return Shipping Costs:
  • For defective or incorrect products, the return shipping costs are typically covered by the seller.
  • For size exchanges or customer-initiated returns, the customer may be responsible for return shipping, depending on the seller’s policy.
5. Refund Process:

  • Not sharing customer information: Sellers are not allowed to share, sell, or distribute customers' personal information with third parties without explicit consent, except for shipping or payment processing purposes.
  • Respecting user privacy preferences: Sellers must comply with customer preferences regarding communication, marketing, and how their data is handled. Opt-in mechanisms should be used for promotional communications.
  • Compliance with privacy laws: Sellers must adhere to data protection regulations such as GDPR or local laws governing customer privacy and data usage. Ensure transparency about how data is collected, used, and stored.
  • Deleting customer data upon request: If a customer requests their personal information to be deleted after a transaction, sellers must comply promptly and ensure the data is permanently erased from their systems.
  • Secure payment processing: Sellers should use trusted payment gateways to ensure that customers' financial data is processed securely and is not stored or misused.
  • What Not to Do on Desimochi Seller Account?

    Here are some points to guide sellers on what they are not allowed to do on Desimochi,

    • Selling counterfeit products: Sellers must not offer counterfeit or imitation products. All shoes must be authentic and sourced directly from the brand or authorized distributors.
    • Violating pricing policies: Sellers are not allowed to set prices significantly higher than the market standard or engage in price gouging. Competitive and fair pricing is required.
    • Posting misleading product descriptions: Sellers must not provide false or exaggerated information in product descriptions, such as fabricating shoe features, quality, or brand origin.
    • Failing to adhere to shipping and delivery commitments: Delays in dispatching products beyond the listed shipping timeframe without customer communication or valid reasons are prohibited.
    • Offering non-shoe products: Desimochi is focused on footwear. Sellers must not list unrelated products like clothing, accessories, or other non-footwear items.
    • Infringing on another seller’s intellectual property: Using copyrighted images, brand logos, or descriptions from other sellers without permission is strictly prohibited.
    • Abusing customer reviews: Manipulating product reviews, either by posting fake positive reviews or sabotaging competitors with false negative reviews, is not allowed.
    • Breach of Desimochi's return policies: Refusing to honor the platform’s return and refund policies without proper cause is a violation.

    Closing Seller Account

    Request Closure of your account and deletion of your personal information. You can submit a request to permanently close your Desi Mochi account and have your data deleted.

    • Go to the "Close Your Desi Mochi Account" page. You can usually find this link in your vendor panel settings or on the Desi Mochi website's main page.
    • Sign in to the account you want to close. Enter your email address and password.
    • Review your account details. Make sure you're closing the correct account. Check the products and services associated with it.
    • Choose a reason for closing your account. Select the option that best describes why you're closing your account from the drop-down menu.
    • Confirm your decision. Check the box next to "Yes, I want to permanently close my Desi Mochi account and delete my data."
    • Click "Close my Account." This will initiate the process of closing your account and deleting your personal information.

    Important Notes:

    • If you have more than one Desi Mochi account, repeat these steps for each account you want to close.
    • We'll send a confirmation email or text message to the address associated with your account. You must reply within 5 days to verify your request.

    What happens after closing your account:

    • Your account will be permanently closed, and you won't be able to access it anymore.
    • Your personal information will be deleted from our systems.
    • If you decide to use Desi Mochi again in the future, you'll need to create a new account.
